21st Birthday Shenanigans: Part 1 ¦ Alice Phillips

This morning I woke up to an amazing email from Bloglovin' saying that I've reached 100 followers! Just a quick note to say thankyou so much to all of those that do follow and support me, and I appreciate every single one of you! It really encourages me and makes me want to dive head first into all things blog-related. You're the best!

But, back to the post. Now that I've dragged my birthday celebrations out for a whole five days, I definitely think it's time that I posted about all of the amazing things that I did for my birthday and all of the great prezzies I received.

As those of you who read my last post will know, I turned 21 on Monday - big deal right? And I've been having a kind of birthday week rather than birthday day, starting off on Sunday night with a lovely night in with my girls making a lush spread of food, right up until last night when I went for a gorgeous meal at Zizzi's with all of my fam (plus I kinda gave myself the week off work and uni, but shh).

I got some amazing presents from various people, and as I'm probably going to be reviewing them and/or going into more depth in a few posts time, I thought I'd share all of the fantastic things I got, just because I love all of them and have been holding out from using anything for the sole purpose of being able to blog about it! Now is when I have no choice but to admit it's an addiction...

[Rose Gold Limited Edition GHD's (eeep!), and a beautiful gift bag from Paperchase - which I will be keeping!]

After my chilled Sunday eve with the girls, my wonderful boyf came down to stay for a few days so that he could spend my actual birthday with me, particularly as I was away from home and missing out on the usual festivities with the fam. When I was telling him what I wanted for my 21st (and yes, I do write a very specific list with added links, annoyance or what?!) I made a point of directing all requests to LUSH, as I have a complete obsession with them right now. The bulk of it you can see in the picture below, including the D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap, Catastrophe Cosmetic Blueberry Face Mask, two bath bombs (including my FAVE Butterball Bomb), and the Heart Throb Bubbleroon - which we shall be taking on a cheeky valentines night away tonight for a nice romantic bubble bath!
I also got a cute little teddy to remember my birthday by, along with some amazing stuff to start making a scrapbook, which I have been blabbering on about for months. So already that morning I was a very lucky girl, especially as I was taken out to Bill's for breakfast and a spot of shopping after as well!

Something that had been organised without me knowing was a surprise visit from my sister and her boyfriend after work, which was so lovely and completely unsuspected. They arrived at my house armed with flowers, cards, chocolate, vodka, and THE LIMITED EDITION ROSE GOLD GHD'S!! I must say that Bryony does always give amazing presents, but she really excelled herself this time, and they are the perfect replacement for my old GHD's which snapped in half after eight beautiful years together. Plus these ones came with a fab heat proof roll mat, bag, and cute little clips too. I highly doubt she was expecting me to tell her to f**k off and burst into tears. Whoops!

Along with the fab things from those two, I got some more amazing prezzies for various others yesterday, including some beaut Sleep palettes to try, a Real Techniques Face Sponge,  the Cameron Public Desire boots (which I have been banging on about for AGES), a Braun Epilator, the WAH London Nail Art Set, and of course an abundance of alcohol. Well...I am now legal to drink all over the world!

All in all I had an amazing week, both in Cardiff and at home, and have been spoilt absolutely rotten. Look out for a part 2 with my meal at Zizzi's! I'm off for an early romantic valentines getaway - have a fab weekend everybody!
