Holding onto Christmas with Yankee Candle ¦ Alice Phillips

If any of you know me, I think it's safe to say that you would know that I love anything and everything that fragrances a room. From reed diffusers to fabreeze if it makes my room smell nice I'll have it!

Luckily enough this December the boy treated me to a Yankee Candle Wreath Advent Calendar (although I forgot to take pics of this), which contained little tealights for each day instead of chocolate - BEST. IDEA. EVER.
Surprisingly, the tealights burned for a really long time, and with six different festive scents within the calendar, my room was always smelling christmassy.

Now as christmas day came, although sadly my tealights ran out Oli's mum had obviously been paying attention, and gave me a lovely gift of a five pack of winter votive candles in some of the festive scents that had been in my calendar (with a few more thrown in).

Now unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a nice picture of the packaging, because as you can probably tell I've had a cheeky delve into the packet and used up my 'Candy Cane Lane' candle already. It was a slightly deeper red than that of the 'Christmas Eve' candle that can be seen above, and it filled my bedroom with the sweetest smell of sugar with a lovely hint of mint.

All of the flavours (if that is the right way to describe candles?) bar 'Candy Cane Lane' and 'Christmas Eve' were ones that I had previously had the joy of using during my advent countdown. However it has to be said that 'Angel's Wings' is my definite fave out of all of them, and is one that I have no option but to recommend to anybody I can as it's just that fab.

The scent of 'Angel's Wings' is very sweet and vanilla-ey (worst English ever from me there), and is basically a dream. I don't know if it is acceptable or makes sense to describe the scent of a candle as a cloud? But if it is okay, then this candle is a sugary cloud, and has such a lightness to it. I just can't get enough!

Unfortunately, as we are now in January, it is very difficult to come by it, but it may be worth a check on the Yankee Candle Christmas page just in case, or even Amazon or Ebay because I know for sure that they are on there!

I have been having a look around the lifestyle blogosphere recently as I'd love to find some new room 'smellies' and candles to try, but for now these are my current little favourites so I'm spreading the joy as I'm just not ready to let go of all the christmas love just yet!

Love Alice x
