The Liebster Award ¦ Alice Phillips

As a very new blogger, I'm so overwhelmed to see that people have already been reading my posts and being so supportive, and I'd like to thank anyone and everyone who has taken a look at my page - I think its absolutely amazing!

Now the lovely Jess from A So Called Beauty Blog was kind enough to nominate me for the Liebster Award, which is a great way to discover and spread the word about blogs with less than 200 followers. Such a great idea!

Here are the questions that Jess gave me along with my answers:

1. Flats or Heels?

Definitely flats! Although heels look amazing I'm a bit useless in them, and can never hold out once my feet start to hurt.

2. Who inspires you the most?

I think it has to be other bloggers really. There is no one person in any area who particularly inspires me, but particularly with blogging and new lifestyle ideas I definitely can always find inspiration from browsing through other people's fantastic blogs. 

3. Favourite Mascara?

The Eyeko Black Magic Mascara. When I was younger it was a fairly cheap brand in boots with the best packaging for getting every last bit of mascara, and also a fantastic brush and formula for thick yet separated lashes. However it's £18 now, so for me my next favourite is the Rimmel London Volume Flash, just because it holds my curl amazingly, and I have to admit I love a lot of layers!

4. What is your guilty pleasure?

Candles and 'house smellies'. I always love to have a nice smelling bedroom, and whether its a room spray, fabric conditioner for my bedding, or even some nice candles, I love them all!

5. What made you want to start blogging?

Over the past few years, a few of my friends from my high school had created their own blogs, and not only did they seem to love it but they also started doing really well with them. I can be quite opinionated and love new things, and just always thought it would be something that I would love. But it's only recently being at university that I've actually thought about steps towards my career, and it is this that finally opened my eyes to how great it could be, and gave me the push to start. 

6. Would you describe yourself as a girly-girl, a tomboy, or somewhere in between?

Definitely somewhere in between! Although I love make up, doing my hair and looking pretty, I can't say that I always dress to impress and I just can't resist slouching down in jeans, an old shirt and trainers. 

7. What is your best quality?

I think that I'm really good at seeing things from both sides. There is always more than one viewpoint on something, and I definitely think that it is important to be open-minded and accepting, as your reactions towards things as a result of this can speak volumes. 

8. What is your favourite indulgent food?

Definitely got two here - cheese and crisps. I just can't get enough of either of them, and seeings as they're both quite bad for you it's two of the worst things to love!

9. Who is your favourite musician?

Musicians-wise I have to admit that I'm a bit rubbish for this question as I'm not as into my music as I used to be, but Lana Del Rey always makes the cut. 

10. What's your favourite country?

I'm not very travelled, so my experience is limited. But Poland is probably my favourite of all that I've seen so far - so much culture and history to look at amongst different traditions. 

11. How has blogging changed your life?

I have to admit, as I'm so new to it there hasn't been much change yet, but I can safely say I'm really enjoying it and am so enthusiastic and positive about it. Although looking at other blogs has definitely opened my eyes, and made me learn new things such as life hacks, tips and tricks along with new and exciting things!
