Although I do love looking after myself with beauty regimes, I have to admit that I'm pretty lazy. I've never been one to go for the whole cleanse, tone, moisturise routine religiously every day without fail, and as a result I'm always looking out for beauty hacks that can cut out a few steps but still get the same great results.
After going through trial and error of trying to get soft lips, including brushing them that bit too vigorously with my toothbrush (ouch!), I finally gave in to the Lush Cosmetics Bubblegum Lip Scrub, and thought it was absolutely amazing. It makes my lips super soft and gives them a really subtle pink stain as well as tasting scrummy.
Now as it was payday today (finally), I paid Lush a quick visit to see what lovely things I could treat myself through, and one of the things I found was this limited edition The Kiss Lip Scrub, which is a special product just for valentines day.
The first thing I noticed about this was the cute packaging, but after I opened it I was super excited to see the hundreds and thousands and confetti on the top - reminded me of a cupcake! The colour of this scrub is also a bit darker than my bubblegum, so I thought it might make a nice change to have a little more flush of colour.
Although the whole look and novelty of this product got me really looking forward to using it, I have to say that although it has the same great formula as all of the lip scrubs, the taste definitely let me down. I was expecting a super sweet sugary flavour, perfect for getting my lips kissable (and possibly a bit tasty), but instead all I seemed to get was salt? Not my favourite flave to get me in the romantic mood. Apparently it is the same as The Kiss Lip Gloss, which has a fabulous colour to it that is almost a pigmented version of this, but I can't say it's made me want to go out and buy it!
All in all, it's still the same fabulous Lush Lip Scrub, just with a prettier packaging as it's limited edition, so if you're looking for an easy way to exfoliate and softer your lips, I'd definitely recommend it. However I would maybe suggest a different flavour if you have a bit of a sweet tooth!
Do any of you use the Lush lip scrubs? Look out for my post soon on my new bath combo!
